Did you know - the website for the oldest public library in Ireland, Marsh's Library, is maintained and hosted by the DIT's School of Electronic and Communications Engineering. Staff and students of the School created the first website in 1996, placing the library's complete catalogue on the internet. The library was built beside St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, in 1701, and is still in the same building.
